Les Misérables. I saw the theatre production for the first time ever in Melbourne Oz last August for my birthday and was completely blown away.

Used to love Les Miz back, back, back in the day (and even knew most of the words ). A nice birthday treat, the films do it no justice.

Best thing I've watched in London....never read the book though and disliked the film a lot! I knew/still know all the words...I grew up wanting to be Eponine in the show

Can't remeber the last cd I purchased or I had Bought for me. I buy the odd digital track and spotify for everything else.

I'm ashamed to say I'm getting to rather like them. Certainly more grippy on the hardwood floors than socks.

Queen Forever. I patiently waited for it for Christmas, that and a Freddie dvd was all I asked for, DD was in charge of getting the cd and didn't, so OH went out boxing day and got it for me.

Wasn't for Christmas and was a impulse buy while in California as Best Buy made a mistake in pricing on the shelf, so got it nearly free.

Mmmm the Original Broadway Cast recording of Les Miserables is incredible... Colm Wilkinson is love.
I actually received a CD for the first time in years this year - my MIL got me the Downton Abbey Christmas CD. It's quite nice! Nothing like listening to Mr Carson recite 'Twas The Night Before Christmas', hehe!

You're lucky if you have Downton series 5 ahead of you, really good. Christmas special, meh.
How old would you say Mr Carson (the character, not the actor) would be in the series?

I'm pegging Carson somewhere around 60 or so... Mrs Hughes a bit younger, 50s.

Watched "Secrets and Lies" the other day, and was surprised to hear Mrs Hughes voice in that, as she plays the photographer's wife in that film. Looks very different too! Twenty years ago, I suppose. My fave Mike Leigh film.
