What CD did you receive for Xmas?

...if any. Dating myself a bit in the age of downloads and Spotify, but I can't be the only one who received a physical CD?! Mine were Coldplay "Ghost Stories" and Tracy Chapman "Where You Live" both very good.

None for me but kids every year get pop party, Now, and Live Lounge from a good friend to keep them up on anything that was big in UK but not over here

Think it was actually 80something. Not the same with no Wham/DuranDuran anyway.

My husband is still a big hard copy fan (he has hundreds of them) but I never buy him CD's because he just loves the obscure/new artists I've never even heard of.

I don't have 100% faith in Amazon, iTunes et al to provide free access to the content I have purchased, so do like having the physical CD in addition to the digital versions. Amazon is quite good in providing the digital version on their cloud player as soon as you purchase the CD.

Yeah neither do I really to be honest! I stream most of my music now through Spotify's free service so can't remember the last time I got a CD

Pink floyds latest. Very familiar for me, very self indulgent of them.

I forgot that that one was out. Haven't heard it yet. You're not so keen on it?

PF - you can recognise the odd cord and just when you expect it to follow previous tracks, it goes off on a tangent. I'm not disappointed, but I've only listened to it in entirety once, PF is only played when everyone else is clear of the house. I think the band indulged themselves, would have enjoyed more vocals. Not sure it is a classic, but when I have all the CDs, this had to join them.
