It's an interesting (but not particularly romantic) read. I enjoyed and learned some recent Canadian history from it.

I'm currently reading a history of St John's and the Battle for the Atlantic whilst dipping in and out of some of the early Aubrey-Maturin novels for the nth time.

Hyperspace - Michio Kaku (Jesus! Like wading through tar).

Understanding Men's Passages - Gail Sheehy (think I'm having an early life crisis).

The Lost Symbol - Dan Brown.

I dare not think what that might be about.

Always makes me laugh when I pick up the book. I'm still in the dark though! ;)

I'm not that far into it but I do see how far back his idea of transforming the forces goes.

My copy has a personalised dedication.

I'm reading James Patterson The Quickie now, just a chapter into it, but like most coffee table novels, it'll be an easy read. Looking forward to the sequel of the previous book - saving it for when I have some proper time;)

Hang on, the sequel of the previous book, wouldn't that be the one you are reading now?

I'm reading Laurence Hill's The Book of Negroes. I was reading a Thousand Splendid Suns but I found it too upsetting. I'll need to be an a more robust frame of mind before I can tackle that one.

Rise and Fall of the Third Reich - William L Shirer. Read it a couple of times before over the past 40 years or so...but it's quite a read, both interesting and disturbing and well worth reading more than once....
