Default Went to the pub last night...

Then another one.

Then another one.

No, it wasn't a pub crawl. That was how many pubs we had to visit to get a table. For two.

Bloody iced hockey and table reservations in pubs

Sunday evidently even worse. Two of the pubs we went to last night are ticket-only entry....ALL DAY.

It's disgusting, it's ruined a perfectly good night out. It's selfish of them to put that nonsense on tv. My advice is to go somewhere nice that way you can avoid it.

I tried to eat one of those McCain "Canadian" pizzas for lunch today.

While chewing the first bite I thought "this smells like a gentleman's urinal".

The second bite actually tasted like the smell of a gentleman's urinal.

I didn't eat any more of it (it's still in the kitchen if anyone wants it).

Now you know. Even the Dr. Oetkers Ristorante ones that have interesting toppings can only be so good. Order it , make it, or even buy the crust and make it and you're better off.
I'll probably watch Superbowl but it isn't written in stone - I got chicken wings anyway so even if I'm not in the mood for the game I still get the treats!

Yes, but they have a new look. The waiting staff now wear leggings and Aran jumpers.

I don't think there are any in BC.

My wife wouldn't have been impressed with the 'menu' anyway...

Looking at their website it appears only Calgary, Winnipeg and Edmonton have some.

If your based around vancouver, avoid St Augustines on nights like that. I have given up trying to go out along commercial on weekend nights - just can't get in anywhere

I always went to bars on weekday's. Always fine a seat then...

I find Canadian bars too pricey, too noisy, and overall just annoying. Plus I feel out of place in most since they are always mostly youngsters in their 20's at them.
