The mortgage is still going through the motions but our broker is fairly confident 25% will be enough. We have 30% but would like a bed and stuff so would rather get through on 25% we went a bit higher than we really intended too but the house was THE one so we stretched, not ridiculously so but enough that if they take 30% we wont be rushing out to buy a 60" plasma

just to let you know we signed off on the mortgage yesterday and it went through at 25% and 40 years amortization.
Woohoo we can afford a bed and a TV that was heading for a tough discussion right there

Hi all
We have arrived in Okotoks and its all we hoped so far. The weathers been great but god its been busy.
Decent flight on Zoom but somehow both of our laptops wireless cards got buggered. This has made it a bit of a pain communicating with Uk and obviously not been able to update on here either.
We have our SIN cards, Alberta health and Alberta driving licenses. We have bought a house subject to mortgage and have boutght two cars. PT cruiser for MrsL and a Dodge Caravan for me. Both are registered and insured so we are legal.
Its been mental but the hardest parts are behind us now so we are starting to settle into it now. Hope to move in to our house 19 August all going well and that is going to be great.
I have a weeks worth of updates to catch up on so back later with more updates.
