I didn't even have a honeymoon. I suppose it's too late now...33 years later.

That's more or less what we did, at a notary's office. The only people that knew in advance were the office because I had to explain why I wanted the morning off.

Thanks all. And now that's enough of Nawlins, we're en route to Buffalo and the inevitable stop at the Home Depot.

I figured you must be in New Orleans based on the photo of Abita Amber you posted. Enjoy the drive home.

Ah, that explains the Abita Amber on the photo thread.

EDIT: Damn, Novo posted first. Must read before posting.

Joking aside, congrats to you both.

I've only had the pleasure of meeting her once but it was obvious you were designed for each other.

This in starck contrast to the last one. I only met her once and that was one too many times. I don't often take an instant dislike to people. I rather doubt that she has fond memories of me, either.

Where are the photos, BTW? I'm buggered if I can find them in the gallery bit.

The dogs stay near there while we're away. That's about it.

There was just one picture, in the "last picture you've taken" thread. And it was only loosely related.

Proof, if needed, that its usually a good idea to read the whole thread before hitting the submit button....

Yes, he doesn't want to go on those those sites, they come across as very impersonal. According to the tv ads, eharmony will match your goals and values so that might be a better option.

Well, back in the day, before Internet dating became fashionable, it was the reason that Mrs AX and I met, dated, ended up moving to Canada, getting married and having kids.

There was none of this 29 dimensions of compatability bollox that e-harmony has. I had a boat, she liked boating. In fact on date #4 when she leapt into the Thames in her brand new Henri Lloyds to winch the boat onto the trailer, I knew she was the girl for me.;) And now I live in a place (Newfoundland) I'd only vaguely heard of before.;)

Sod dating sites. You know how the saying goes, have a boat, get birds. Of course you want to have a toilet [head], a lounge area and good stereo system. And it works better in July than January. ;)

Had none of that. 4 Jockey seats, hypalon tubes, a console and an eff off big outboard on the back. Considering the Mrs was a sailor rather than a powerboater, she took to it rather well. I did manage to frighten the bejaysus out of her going aroind Lands End one time, but she got over it in time.

You are not suggesting surely that sites like lavalife and plenty of fish have non genuine profiles on them and the personal details are not correct:lol:
God forbid if any BE posters were like that.

They just seem very impersonal and people can lie. My mate went on a date on one and was supposedly going to meet a hot 25 year old blonde girl. But all that turned up was 70 year old man with a walking frame. My mate said the sex was disappointing as well.

It's all irrelevant now.

I think just in the last month they legalized brothels in Ontario.

Let's hope they don't put one near Magnumpi or we'll get another thread attacking the world's oldest industry.
