Walk for the cure team wanted! (Calgary)
Hi all,
I am going to be signing up for the weekend to end breast cancer, a charity walk in Calgary. The challenge is pretty big! 60 kilometers over 2 days on July 25 & 26, raising $2000 (hopefully more!) for a charity which is devoted to finding a cure for breat cancer, and other cancers. So, my bright idea last night, was to ask you ladies and gents in Calgary if you would like to form a team? We could obviously raise a hell of a lot more money than just me on my own. Besides, I don't really want to do it on my own...it would be more fun in a group! Have a look at the endcancer website, have a think about it, and let me know if you would be upfor the challenge! Nicky p.s. I am by no means fit...lol...just your average Mum of two looking who walked her first 5km yesterday and is very stiff today! |

I see someone has put an advert for the event below my message...nothing to do with me! But it's the link for last year. This year the site is www.endcancer.ca.

I hope your knee gets better soon and you can do the walk!
It is a bit daunting to raise that kind of money, but I have lots of ideas...and pals who are willing to donate! I've met a few of the Calgary expats, it would be great to recruit a few as you are all such loverly ladies...and men  No-one up for the challenge yet though  Nicky |
