US hit back at Syrian airbase

https://www.google.ca/amp/abc7ny.com...siles/1843817/

About 60 U.S. Tomahawk missiles, fired from warships in the Mediterranean Sea, targeted an air base in retaliation for a chemical weapons attack that American officials believe Syrian government aircraft launched with a nerve agent, possibly sarin.

Trump fights back !! Now what ?

It's a hit back regarding a recent gas attack on civilians launched from that airbase

smoke & mirrors, it's nothing more than a political move by Trump to gets folks in the GOP on his side with hugs & kisses from allies in the EU

At the cost of annoying Putin while the Russian dabbling investigations continue? That doesn't seem like a yuge win.

Putin statement this morning was 'anti-Trump', that surely gets Trump more favours in his 'own' house, with the focus now on Syria away from the investigations that are seemingly of less importance

Assad is truly pissed, so Russia has to side with Syria

Boys will be boys playing with peoples lives

Now what about those jobs & making "America great again"

I read this comment from another forum earlier and have to say that I agree.

The American and Russian governments will both talk this shit up and pretend that they are escalating the conflict. Then they will save the whole facking world by agreeing on a tremendous deal. That deal will include the US removing sanctions on Russia, in return for Russia leaning on Assad to not use chemical weapons on his own people. Nobel Peace Prize for Trump and Putin for averting nuclear armageddon.
Winners: Trump, Putin, Exxon
Losers: Syria, America

Yes, that seems an astute reading.

uncertainty, conflicts & war is good for increased oil price as it is for safe haven Gold

Bomb a few oil fields (less oil available) increases the price of oil back to $100/barrel, that gets Putin what he needs for his oil export price up to make a profit

In the meantime America stocks up on oil keeping the price low, then when the $hit hits the fan America has enough oil till it all settles down & the price of oil gets back to $50/barrel

Conflicts also sees a rise in Gold price

When it settles at the end of Trumps term he will be the 'all round' winner & likely richer also

.

The only people it isn't good for are the unlucky ones that got hurt. It takes attention away from Trump's Russia problem, it takes attention away from Putin's protests problem, and by denying Syrian troops fighting ISIS some air cover even helps keep the conflict going so the industry can make more money. I'm reminded of Milo contracting with the Germans to bomb his own base. The Russians were warned and got their people away, did they shut down the radars too? One comment on RT says "S-400 are buried in the rubble." Assad is so popular Putin can't get rid of him without finding something horrible, something really bad, and somebody popular enough to replace him.

Ann Coulter in sense-making shocker:

"Trump campaigned on not getting involved in Mideast," she tweeted. "Said it always helps our enemies & creates more refugees. Then he saw a picture on TV."
