Anyone cut their own hair yet? I normally have a short back & sides but it's decidedly shaggy now. Think I might leave it and go for the full James May.

Might add a beard too, if I can get over this damned itchy stage.

I have often cut my husband’s, but he has a massive head of curly hair, so as long as he looks smart it’s quite forgiving. I really need my fringe cutting but am really bad at it, and I have very straight hair...I am not looking my best.

Our son is horrific. 19. Convinced that his hair is the most important thing on the planet and he really wants it cut. It has become a favourite topic of conversation...for him

This enforced together time has been really valuable though. We’ve talked about all sorts of things we normally would never have time for. I do hope it’s over soon, but I will cherish memories of this.

With the clothes to match? I have a few toned down shirts of this look and the kids just refer to them as my James May look.

Ordered clippers from Amazon...I cut hubby’s hair last week. I was a little nervous using the clippers...but once I got going there was no stopping me. I cut the hair on top with scissors. Looks as good if not better, than normal. I will be using the clippers on the dog in the next few days.

Quite a few of my shirts are like that too..... I haven't got the James May-esque long hair anymore though, that waved good bye to me quite a few years ago.....that said, whats left is in dire need of a trim....I'm even considering the buz cut.....now may be the time.... still can't pluck up the courage though!

I do have some shirts like that but I very rarely wear them. In fact, I very rarely wear a shirt at all. I'm mostly a t-shirt & jumper guy.

I am so glad I got my haircut in February, things were still normal then. I am good now til August, if things are not open by then, I'll shave it of myself.....

Anyone wanna cut a dogs nails? She wont let us do it, but its a non-essential thing so vets wont do it right now, and the grooming places are closed, she is annoyed by them I can tell but she bites me when I try, but she will let vet people or petstore people do it, just not me......

Many attempts over the last few years, but after several weeks the itchness gets too much and it's gone. A shame, as I like the look.

I've cut my hair for the past 30 odd years, lol - my son cuts his own too and has done since he was 17 - (before that I cut it with scissors) - but he says clippers and 2 mirrors is the way to go if doing it by yourself. Editing to say my cousin ( a hairdresser) says all you need is a mirror, a pair of scissors and a comb

For the last couple of nights I have gone to bed with my husband at ten or eleven ish and woken up with him at 7 ish...this is extraordinary, and very pleasant. Last Saturday I woke at 8:30! This C19 seems to have poked my, and my family’s, reset button. My husband always wakes a few times in the night with heartburn, a need to pee or remembering an email he hasn’t responded to.

It’s given us the chance to reassess how we get on and what we do best.

I have capitulated. Yesterday my wife cut my hair short and I shaved off the beard.
