Er, you've mentioned chocolate, but surely it has to be a chocolate orange?

And I think you accidentally () ignored the fabulous Marmite suggestion? A nice celebratory giant pot will do.

Defo those, and Tangrams posh Pork pies....could we have a packet of 'picnic eggs' those mini Scot egg jobs from Marks too please? All of the first few posts fit the bill, the Pickled Walnuts smoked salmons and oysters and haggis have me salivating, can they also have a red and black jar of lumpfish roe in there and a tub of taramasalata (or some smoke cods roe too) please....it's Christmas after all!

Yes, yes, yes...the proper stuff is lovely, so we need that....and while discussing eggs, could we have some wild salmon eggs too? However, the lumpfish jars which were cheap as chips in Europe are 12 dollars here for a teeny jar, and I can polish off a whole jar with a spoon in 30 seconds.

I don't know how tens of pounds of fresh salmon roe I feed to the sea gulls each year but its got to be a lot. It always seems such a waste, I wonder if I could get some of it processed? Hmmm.

Probably quite dreadful, but my happy contented smile makes up for it

Did you know...we have Sturgeon in the Saint John River, and we have Acadian Caviar produced here in New Brunswick, I only found out about it the other day... And you can buy Sturgeon here too, which apparently tastes like pork...exciting eh?

We have sturgeon here in the rivers, a lot of them but its all catch and release, which to me is like kissing your sister, there's not much point.

I know somebody mentioned whisky marmalade upthread, but I just reminded myself on the temperature thread that I want to add some proper dark Seville orange marmalade to our hamper. Frank Cooper's would do nicely, Kieller's Dundee marmalade would be OK at a pinch.

That's just reminded me, I've got a jar of jam at home (hopefully it remains unopened, or at least unfinished) of strawberry and champagne jam.
