UK Answer Machine

Are the phone line connectors the same in Canada? Could we use our answer machine (with adaptor) plug? Thanks all.

Probably not but why bother? You can buy a phone here with an answering machine for about £40.

Check out Future Shop.

Agree. But still it's yet another thing you have to buy when you get here and another thing dumped in a landfill. Was worth asking the question I reckon.

Maybe (like me) they hate having to record a new message;)

Sadly I think the connector here is different isn't it?

Can you not get an adaptor? I guess even if you get one the phone company won't like it; I seem to recall that BT didn't like you putting unapproved stuff on in the UK, something to do with REN loading or whatever.
