I doubt if the case against him is watertight? Two porn stars making statements in a court of law against him, and Trump defending himself? I wonder who is more credible? That is if the word credible or serious is to be used here at all..... Only the media and the lawyers will make money out of this.

A general opinion in society seems to suggest that people didn't think someone in porn can be a credible witness.
It's sad that just because someone makes a living in a way that is disapproved off my some ( though legal) it is assumed that they must be a dodgy personality that can't be trusted.

I'm fairly sure the watertightness has been considered by those prosecuting.

There is no doubt that a payment was made so it is never going to be a Trump v. Daniels debate. The issue, insofar as I can see is: Was the payment he made for legal fees, or was it stated to be for legal fees when, in fact, it was for something else?

It appears that the prosecutor has overplayed his hand here. Increasing the charge so that it becomes a felony, rather than a misdemeanor. I believe that it is difficult to believe that this has been done for anything other than political reasons and, once the disclosure is provided to the defence, I see a range of motions being made to dismiss or have the charges reduced

American politics. Something that every jurisdiction in the world would be best advised not to seek to emulate.

Surely the question will be, were any of the payments made in breach of the campaign finance regulations? It's not going to be just about the Stormy Daniels payment but the pattern of them. In the Daniels case though Trump did himself no favours by saying that, if he could drag the payment out until past the election he could, er, stiff her. She's great fun "I've seen Trump naked, nothing he can do with his clothes on can be as scary as that". This case is small beer legally, of course, compared to those coming but likely to be more entertaining.

I enjoy US politics but concur that Johnson and PP should not be promoting that style in other countries.
