FWIW. What killed the Barbie was a select few posters constantly bickering with each other despite the best efforts of the moderators both past and present to mediate that. What also saw the demise was , just as with other forum areas, Flopbook.
You are correct. This is not TIO. It is the Maple Leaf you have strayed into. Perhaps get to know the assorted posters in here a bit better before calling them names please. They are a great bunch to post with.
Thank you

Well yes. Mr. Johnson, of course, wants to Brexit because, he says, he can make a better deal with Trump than with the EU. I find that improbable.

I don't think he'll live long enough to do that. I think he will evade justice by kicking the bucket before the election.

Re: Trump Trump Trump
Beginning to wonder whether Giuliani will see the year out, looked a bit rattled on the tv the other night.

Re: Trump Trump Trump
I think that's been a given (provided he doesn't cark it) since day one. As long as the Democrats don't make any effort to put someone up capable of standing against him, it's a no brainer sadly.

Re: Trump Trump Trump
Please don't do that as it is grossly unfair and I know you do know better than this , so I simply cannot allow it to stand without comment.

Re: Trump Trump Trump
HOW on Earth can anyone be that narcissistic, at that age, to post such a photo. It's clever (politically) but how he has the chops to do it I just don't know. Maybe he is an alien.

Not in a US mindset obviously but watching from a long way away I don't think so, the Democrats seem too fragmented to me. Regardless of what people say about Obama after the event, he did pull the party together and in turn, the country - for a short while anyway. They really need to find someone under pension age. These old ****ers are all heading down Senile Street.

Re: Trump Trump Trump
The Dem psychology, like that of many who think they have a lot to lose, is to try to keep what they have regardless.
And what can the Dems offer these people? Sure they like giving to charity, some might even call them generous, but have the state take it instead and the spectre of socialism rises to become the republican dem-killer.
Those of us who grew up with the NHS understand a philosophy that's able to provide statewide services to all funded by contributions from all who're able and find that it makes common sense. However the US psyche recoils from anything that smells pink or worse still red.
This is the weak underbelly of the democratic cause, their susceptibility to the charge of Socialism, and it's this charge that could fragment Democratic support.
