Toronto Meetup - 10 June

Okay, super in advance, but getting it out there before I forget or whatever. :)

I did PM sharkus to organize something but I never heard back.

So I'm calling it for Friday 10 June at The Yard, as usual. I'll call for a reservation closer to the time.

I did check for holidays and school bits (and decided against the Friday of the long weekend in May lol) so hopefully this works...

See you all then!

I've noted the date- that looks like my weekend with the ankle biters but there's a day in court to happen in the interim so we'll see how it pans out.

Hopefully you are managing to stay calm in the midst of all this? It always pays to stick to the facts and be able to rebut the lies from the other party.

As long as they do separate bills then I'm game!

Actually was in C'est What at the weekend and they have some blurb on their menus about preferring not to do separate tabs

I'll stick the date in the diary.

Good luck with court date/proceedings (& ankle biters).

Sounds good to me...unless hubby whisks me off to some romantic getaway as it's the day after our 37th wedding anniversary.

Boo! I travel 18000 km and will be on the east coast then. Two weeks earlier or 10 days later and we'd be in Burlington.

Just pulling my one relevant comment back from the veggy crash- I recall that's the reason we haven't used C'Est What in the past, their reluctance to do individual billing.

You made a relevant comment on a cat-herding thread? For shame! Get thee to a nunnery!

I can, at present, see no reason not to be there. The Yard might be a bit predictable, but we know they can cope with an unruly mob of unpredictable size who drift in and out at random points through the evening. Better the devil you know....

Yeah I agree. The only other place I've been that's comparable in terms of ease of separate bills and people constantly coming and going is 3 Brewers, but it's a bit more of a trek (Yonge and Dundas).

Well you have a month. I hear Alert is nice for camping in June?

True, as most come from Union or walk (I think I'm the only regular on the TTC) the yard is best for location. My only drinks gripe is lack of a proper british ale; since I discover-vented the bacon veggieburger I have no qualms about the menu...

Yeah I don't mind their menu. And I agree, generally most are either coming from Union, or otherwise returning to Union at the end of the night, so it really is convenient. I'm always impressed by how well they keep everyone's cheques straight as well, considering we often are changing seats and shifting around the table.

I'll give them a call a bit closer to the time to reserve the Library again, once I have a better idea of numbers. :)
