As self proclaimed BE Social Secretary I thought I best do something about it (and Oakvillian gave me a nudge too ) and see what interest there may be for a get together.

The usual place of Scotland Yard is an obvious choice and sometime after the holidays, kids back at school etc etc so what better day than Friday September 13th

I expect this date wont satify everyone but got to put a stake in the ground and go from there.

So - Anyone up for it ?

As I've never managed to make a meetup in the time I've been here and if there is actually some interest do we need to call Scotland Yard and tell them or just turn up on mass and take over the place ?

There's no need to phone the Yard, the place can easily accomodate 30 people or so in the early evening. Phoning ahead would anyway be a bad idea as British people are not very welcome in licensed establishments. If you do do that pretend to be a group from somewhere that has similar social traditions to Canada; perhaps pose as a meeting of the Daughters of the American Revolution or the Ku Klux Klan.

Dunno about September yet, I do know how to find the Yard.

We've taken to crashing over there after meet-ups the last few times then doing some shopping in the Market on Sat. morning before the ROM or AGO later on.

If it's on in Sept. (Friday the 13th seems appropriate) we'll try to be there.

I only do West Coast and I'm shite at that. They always end up in a drunken mess which invariably leads to a punch up with the locals if Alan2005 is there. By the end of the evening there's usually only three or four of us left who actually can make it to the strip joint.
