I wonder if when you buy the ticket for the Go Train for a family at the weekend will it cover downtown bus routes also?

If you use Presto you'll probably get a discount

When you transfer from GO or UP to TTC, your TTC fare will be discounted by $1.50 if you’re an adult or 55 cents if you’re a student/youth or senior

I don't believe you can use the Go Train ticket to cover downtown. I could be wrong but as far as I'm aware, they're separate systems.
Hi mahdawg,

Your are correct they are both separate systems. Looks like we can by a weekend ticket on the TTC for the family for $12 though which is great value. From what I can make out the Street Cars dowtown are also operated by TTC so the girls should be able to use their tickets and jump on that to get across to the distillery district.
Should all work out fine!!

Thanks for all your help folks!!

My advice is don’t go, you will only be disappointed. Maybe go find a Leeds or Blackpool support club instead :@)

Very, very poorly.

You can if you use a PRESTO Card (as mentioned upthread)

Or you could just get Presto Cards which you can use on GO and TTC (as well as others) and get the discounts. Have fun regardless!

Ah...so now we have some context. I was wondering if JamesM was just down on the idea generally or the Distillery one in particular.

I am with James. I certainly wouldn’t be in a hurry to go back. There are some nice restaurants in the Distillery District, but they are open all year round.
