Too fat to live and work in New Zealand.
This is rather an interesting article about a person not having their work visas renewed as the New Zealand Immigration services think basically he is too fat and does not have an acceptable standard of health.
http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/story/2...w-zealand.html I wonder if they will next target smokers, heavy drinkers or other types of non healthy individuals? |

Re: Too fat to live and work in New Zealand.
I knew several men who were in great physical condition but were nervous, type a personalities. One was a stone cutter, should of had a heart like an ox, he had a heart attack and died at 40 shovelling his parent's driveway, another, a stage carpenter died with no warning at 41, and there are others. Fat is bad, but it isn't the only factor.

I suppose that as a small country, they have more stringent immigration policies. However, it's a bit off to not renew after the guy has been in the country six years, and has lost a significant amount of weight.
