Not personally but if memory serves me correct the file types are different and regulated in Canada best to buy the maps from a UK store and load them in that way.

Hi,

My Tom Tom has maps of the whole world. I took it with me to Ontario/Quebec last year. Worked fine, found all the roads I needed:)

WE bought an SD card ( Tom Tom) Canada Map off ebay in the UK ( from canada) got my mum to post it over and it works great. Still use it now and again when going out of our comfort zone... but will be handy for when relatives / friends come over and they wanna get out and about

Brought my Go510 over with a USA/Canada SD card bought from Ebay. Haven't had any problems with it and I pretty much use it every day as I do alot of travelling between Langley & Hope.

We had a tomtom but found when using it in the GTA there was lot's of drag or the satellite wouldn't sync with the device. Switched to Garmin and it works great.

Just used my Go920 over there with preloaded USA/Canada maps, worked great most of the time, could probably do with an update tho lol

Stating the obvious, but make sure you have an SD card slot - lot of the newer TomTom's don't..... Mine doesn't for instance (330S)

I use a Go720 (?) and have done for well over a year. It's a Godsend!

It works great, although it hasn't got the "new" fly-over in Quebec City yet, nor some of the newer roads in the USA. I suppose that's my fault for being cheap and not paying the annual subscription for map updates!

Even if it's wrong, it's worth it so you can be directed by a Brit, not a Ham Shank!!
