Imagine
I live a few miles north of a border crossing. There might be 5 to 10 CBSA officers there at any time but it's difficult to judge because I don't ask.
Imagine a catastrophic event south of the border. Might be a larger volcanic eruption, a pandenic or social breakdown on a large scale.
Large numbers of US citizens move north to escape...
How would the average canadian react to large numbers of US people, like themselves, flooding across the border. Brothers and sisters in need.. except they'll be armed...

Re: Imagine
It's funny that before I even read 'armed' I was actually thinking my response would be that Canadians would get shot.

I can't imagine many Americans thinking of Canada if they wanted to go somewhere else.

Re: Imagine
If it's warranted, yes.
There's a big difference between being shot by a random nut job on the street and people shooting to defend themselves from armed home intruders.
If you break into a home with the intent of hurting people and get shot by a sane homeowner defending his family, too bad.
