It's sans crap because the coffee pot is only hooked-up to the urinal in the gents. That's why it's always fresh.

There aren't that many Canadians in Dubai, no forces base. But the local Emiratis can't get enough processed sugary fast food. They'll lap it up.

That explains why many of them are quite corpulent.

I am sure some people do think that way. As with most fast food, Timmys spends money to make its products seem less chemical-laden than they are.

But their primary product is a blob of batter smeared with imitation sugar. Surely their customers eat it as a guilty pleasure, they must know they'd be better off going for a beer and a smoke.

My husband doesn't go there...to my knowledge, but can apparently sing every one of their advertisements since Adam met Eve, so they evidently have bloody good marketing. I am the only parent at basketball that doesn't come in clutching a cup like a badge of honour. If I want to assimilate am I going to have to have to learn to have a Timmy Time?

Just get one of the cups, half fill it with some decent coffee and then the rest with at least three of shots of cognac and you'll find they (cradles) are not quite as irritating as you first thought.

Never heard that one before. Well, I did hear it once before on BE. Is it BE lingo or has it been around longer...?

Dung beetle dung.

As a side note, I found one of these manual drip filter holders at Canadian Tire:

The main downside is you have to stand there and wait for the freshly brewed coffee to make it through before filling again, and again, and again. It's like the dial-up version of coffee making. :o

The coffee turns out great though.

There use to be "Camp Mirage" before the fall out with 'emirates airlines' over landing rights in Toronto and some other cities.

We do have a hub in Kuwait though, shared with the yanks

Twenty-some years ago a lot of the Greyhound stops had TH kiosks in them so when I took the bus to BC & back I'd take my TH mug and get cheap coffee. Since then, I've only been twice that I can recall. I don't go to any coffee shops, not since the Tastee Freeze burned down, must be twenty-some................

As long as there's some form of booze I don't care.
