Thinking of renting a Winnebago in NS
As the title says we are thinking of renting a Winnebago in OCT to see NS for our recci, have checked availability and no they are not all out on hire ( surprise ) noticed quite a few camp sites are closed but a few are open until the end of Oct,
Does anyone have any experience of the sites in NS and any recommendations. ( besides not bothering )
How long would it take a competent complete novice to learn the ropes ?
We do have a friend who has a large motor home would it be worth playing with that here first ?
Mainly aiming for Halifax areas as thats where OH will probably be looking for work.
Also want to see some friends from here put your orders in soon can't guarantee the chocolate will get there in one piece though
Any help would be much appreciated

Re: Thinking of renting a Winnebago in NS
Hi
I would not bother a lot of Nova Scotia tourist attractions are closeing for the winter in September so you may find finding camp sites difficult but not imposable.
Also why hire a car and a Winnebago? You could go B&B and hire a medium size car for not a lot extra, or it may even turn out cheaper without all the added fuel costs and it would be a lot easier to move around. You would also have more choices in where to stay.
If you are going to stay around Halifax dont bother at all, would you drive around your home town in one over here?

If you are going to visit Cape Breton dont bother at all, would you drive a Winnebago around the country lanes of Devon?
