Quite honestly only one thing really bugs me (in Calgary) and that is people crossing the street without looking. I have tried to get used to it but after four years it's not going to happen - it irritates the heck out me that pedestrians just assume that cars will stop for them and don't even bother to check to see whether they have been seen :frown:

The main thing I would like is a corner shop within walking distance where you can buy milk/bread etc without having to go to the supermarket.
My lot like the Superstore English Bangers just as much as UK sausages. Personally I didn't ike them in the UK & I don't care for them here either. |
Re: Things that would make Canada better for you ...
I wish people would complain instead of just putting up with crap.
For example last night at the cinema there was a parent sitting in the very front row with a 3yr old child. This child was walking around the cinema, touching the screen, continuously dropping her toy (on purpose) and the Mother did not bat an eye lid. It ruined about 30 minutes of the film. All I could see were people shaking their head and not doing a damn thing about it. If that were in England the parent would have been shouted at and pop corn thrown at her. Here people just accepted that she had no control over her kid and raised their eyebrows. When the movie had finished and people were walking out, she was the topic of conversation and almost everyone was moaning about "that kid". You may be asking yourself why I didn't complain... I was at the back, but had I of been sitting near her, I would have been the first one to shout at her. |

Snow plows that don't deposit a snowbank across the drive....or they come back and clear it.
Radio fivelive type broadcasts (not just sport) on the radio at an hour I'd like to hear it. The ability to put The Guardian in my hands so I can sit and read a good newspaper. |
