There are some honest people!
My Mom was shopping recently in Clark's Village in Street. My Mom is 92 years old and was being pushed in a wheelchair. They had wandered into various shops when it was discovered that my Mom did not have her handbag with her any more. So they retraced their steps to all the shops they had been into - no handbag. They went to Security - no handbag.
So, they went back to my nephew's and proceeded to cancel her credit cards etc. The next day Security phoned. They had her handbag and nothing was missing from it - not even the money!! Kind of restores one's faith in human nature eh??? |

And the phone, car keys and car are still there when they get back. It is refreshing - more refreshing than the soy beverage I'd guess. Frank |

It still amazes me when I see someone pull up outside the local coffee shop near where we live and drop their cell phone and car keys on the table while they line up for the half caf soy latte or whatever.

Re: There are some honest people!
One day this week I found I didn't have my purse when I got to work. I remembered picking it up to leave, and had a horrid mental picture of having put it on the car to free my hands to open up, and then it falling off as I drove away!
I consoled myself that if a neighbour here found it, they'd probably pick it up and deliver it back to my house, probably even leave it inside as the door was most likely unlocked anyway! As it happened, I found it on the ledge just inside my front door, so maybe I had just put it down there to open the house door ..... or maybe the good fairies had been at work after all! ;) This was Monday after my weekend away, and to be frank, I'm surprised I managed to get to work at all that day! |
Re: There are some honest people!
About 3 years ago Souvette "lost" her purse. It came back, intact, the next day. She'd put it on the roof of the car while unlocking to door and forgot. It fell off about three streets away and must have lay on the kerb for a good while.
She also managed to leave an expensive pair of sunglasses on the car roof (again) in the car park at Ottawa airport. They were still there five days later. |
