Re: Thanks Raine66!
Bit too risky trying to keep a two year old upright if I'm on skates too.
Besides, it hurts my back as it is bending over to hold on to her without being another couple of inches taller
I am still the best skater in the household, but the way Iris is progressing I wont be for much longer!

Re: Thanks Raine66!
ooh, you've made a rink again - I remember seeing the pictures of yours last year and bearing it in mind when I was house-hunting last Spring. Needed that flat garden, you see.
Bought the flat garden - no effort put in for the rink though - has been a bit too mild really (up till yesterday, should I say). I'll just keep thinking about it instead ....

Nah....most of the neighbourhood lives on the expensive side of the street, with the river in their back yard. They dont have to make a rink, it comes creeping into their backyard every year anyway

Thanks for posting this and reminding me of one of the reasons I'm putting myself through all the stress of moving............ having fun.

Re the skating thing -- little bottoms are closer to the ice than big ones -- I always assumed that why it hurt more when you fell when you are older - boy that ice is hard!
