My statement as to what's happening in Sweden was in reference to a story that was broadcast on @FoxNews concerning immigrants & Sweden.

Oh - and the Swedes that were interviewed as part of the story are now claiming that their responses were taken out of context, and spliced answers to other questions to fit a narrative.

Swedish police featured in Fox News segment: Filmmaker is a madman - DN.SE

So.. President Snowflake, who has derided the Main Stream Media (but omits Fox News) for spreading 'Fake News', cites a Fox News story that is shown to be 'Fake News'.

One would think that someone with access to the intelligence arsenal of the United States would trust their information more than a 'documentary' on Tucker Carlson's show..

Oh wait - Trump doesn't want people to believe information that the Intelligence Community collects, or that the 'MSM' media puts out, because there are some nasty skeletons in the closet that may emerge as a result of their efforts, and he wants to inhibit their credibility.

Just to clarify....he didn't once say there had been a terrorist attack in Sweden.

The media are doing it again........I have some sympathy for Trump of the reporting of what he does and says, it seems he might have a good point when he states the media lie. This is a classic example of them accusing him of something he didn't say.

Read the headlines of responsible media (and this thread) and assume incorrectly. Bad. í ¾í´“

True. He said it three times.

I've stopped looking at any form of Trump headlined news. It has become lazy journalism and click bait.

I even saw a link recently titled "What will Donald Trump's effect on the Premier League be".

Journalism is dead and the journo's largely do it to themselves by churning too much content on the same lazy themes.

Agreed. Trump's incoherence and ignorance is being pushed as entertainment. I suppose his goading of the media doesn't help.

Well, yes, not specifically using the words terrorist attack and Sweden.

I assume you read the transcript of the relevant part of the speech or at least listened to his words?

When he mentioned Nice - where there had been a terrorist attack; Paris - where there had been a terrorist attack; Brussels - where there had been a terrorist attack and then refers to "last night in Sweden" and repeats Sweden for emphasis what do you think he was getting at?

Do you seriously believe that by "last night in Sweden" he was talking about general increases in crime over a period?

Have you really swallowed the spin?

Clearly you have.

I accept that he could have phrased his comments better, but couldn't we all, but he did not mention any terrorism in Sweden. The rest of the media "spin" on this is bollox. Yeah, spin, bad...

Of course we could all say things better, but come off it, there are slight errors, slips of the tongue, transposing figures, spoonerisms and stuff like that.

How the hell does "I was talking about a general increase in crime rate over a period" come out as "last night in Sweden"?

That's not a failure to phrase something better.

Sorry, I'm not having it. I do not necessarily support trump, but he is the elected president of the us. He was elected on a particular mandate and he is trying to implement the change that he is required to do to fulfil his promise to the electorate that elected him. This is a difficult job I think you would concede.
If the media were doing this to a black president or female president, there would be uproar, it seems that the middle class and the upper echelons in America, media and media moguls among them, chose not to vote for him and now they are content to try and bring about his demise. Shame, bad.
