Re: Teatime Choices
Last night by co-incidence only we had bbq ribs with noodles and stir fry.
Tonight it will be chicken, mushroom and leek pie, I hope, if the pastry ever defrosts .

Mini-Buffet.
Some of Walmart's excellent crusty wheat bread, Boar pate, Lobster mousse (both from IGA) and Portuguese chicken from Superstore.

I've never been a fan of cheesecake but I do like the Red Velvet one that President's Choice does.
That may now be in the past because I bought a nice looking Dr Oetker Wildberry cheesecake and it's magnificent.

Tea in a microwave? New research says it could be the perfect cuppa
Chinese scientists reckon they have found the way to make a proper brew without a kettle. Heresy or scientific fact?

Last night I fried croutons in garlic butter with a pinch of Italian herbs, but had no Romaine so used baby spinach and field greens, Caesar dressing, parmesan, and the pile of bacon bits I'd lovingly rendered down but forgotten to put in the chowder. I'll want to put bacon in every salad now, it was great!
Tonight probably a smaller version sans bacon and the wings that have been marinating all day.

Turkey roast dinner. I bagged a turkey on special so that is 3 to 4 nights sorted.
Then MrBEV'S ex apprentice came over to talk hunting and stuff as they are going off for a jaunt over a few days now the old bot is retired , so brought with him some venison & goat he bagged last time.
Can I just say that I am very pleased . They may be pig hunting too so all good.

Sobeys does a good Spanish one but I recently discovered the delights of IGA (sorry Millie ) and they have a brand - La Fernandiere - which makes some really nice German and Spanish sausages. They are my go to sausage currently.
