September is my favourite month. In the 20s most days and no humidity. You are right about the temperature. It drops like a stone when the sun goes down. You go from shorts to a fleece in about 30 minutes (we don't come inside unless there is a risk of hypothermia; we live in that gazebo).

I don't mean to harp on about it but I notice it when fishing in Sept. Thats when the big 30lbs+ salmon run comes along so we often don't come back in until 8:00-8:30pm and you can really feel the damp cold air on the water when the sun drops. Still, after a summer of gin and tonics its nice to warm up with some rye or rum.

Sept can be a very dependable month, but you can feel the fall creeping in. Oct can be a decent month too with the changing of the seasons....bloody November is when the hose pipe is turned on full belt though

Well it was lovely on the water this morning although bit windy. Still, I made $300 beer money for towing a boat to the marina lift.

Well that should last you almost a week if HID keeps her mitts off your beer.

HID barely touches the stuff, maybe a glass of wine a month. Its all my bloody cradle acquaintances who snuffle it up like its going out of fashion, so given the sunny weather I doubt it'll last two days. Still easy come, easy go.

What you need mate is a private beer fridge somewhere well hidden from the proles. But I'm glad to hear HID is abstemious, that's a big advantage for the pocket book (I know of what I speak).

I was thinking of splashing out on some wine. I hear that chardonnay is nice, my posh gran drinks it.

I may be able to get a cheeky first hour of play in. As long as the kids can sort themselves out in the morning.

Summer officially starts tomorrow then
