Well, it's gonna be another hot one here today. I will again be inside and preparing walls to paint and painting said walls and accepting a delivery from Rona, oh yay what a fun day.

Couldn't sleep last night so am super tired, I ache from being up a ladder (I don't do well on ladders). Oh doom and bloody gloom, maybe the deer will pop by and see me for a bit this afternoon.

A word of advice ladies, if your man says 'look lets buy this bargain of a house that needs total renovation and I promise I'll do it before we move in, it'll be lovely' ...RUN, RUN for the hills, do not look back and do not be convinced and swayed to agree to the idea, and certainly don't come up with the idea of paining the kitchen cabinets because there is actually nothing wrong with them apart from the awful colour, INSIST on new, insist!

"Bearotic" a combination of "bear" and "erotic"??

You westerners, god love ya. The sun comes out after six months of rain and y'all log off to fornicate.

See you back on here in September

So piss off all you.
haha!, mine isnt much better, a view of the parking lot, but granted I can actually see out of the windows

sounds good, we were there a few weeks ago, loved the indoor market at Granville, even stocked up on some half decent cheese to bring home with us to NS before getting the plane

As someone who is soon to embark on a trip to Vancouver, I am somewhat miffed to see the weather forecast. Local weather is expected to be great, a scorcher of a weekend. Vancouver? Well, that is tipped to be wet and rather chilly.

Clearly there has been a mistake. If some of the local residents could please arrange for a few dry days with temperatures in the 20s I would appreciate it. Otherwise I will have to get my winter clothes back out of storage

I wouldn't worry, the ability to predict the weather here for more than two days in advance is bordering on astrology.

Contrary to popular myth, Vancouver usually has great late springs and summers, absent the humidity. We also get very little rain over the same period. It's the pay off for enduring the soggy winters

This weekend? Nah don't worry. It'll be lovely, sunny, and warm until Sunday night. Monday might be wet though.

This is true. This week has been spectacular and is more in keeping than last year when we didn't get any nice weather until July. Now if we could just persuade our overly tasky southern friends not to bother us I could get out and do a bit of fishing.

Last year was a late starter....it was one of them nemo year things....thinking back over the last 20 years, last year was the worse, although we still got a decent 10 weeks or so. Pretty dependable summers here.

Its weird though. The temperature seems to flick a switch in the 2nd week of Sept. It drops a significant few degrees especially in the evenings. Still as you said, usually a very dependable summer with long light evenings. Which after living down south for so long is welcome addition.
