What the hell
At the mo it just seems to be TV personalities, I wonder how many 'pop stars' of the 60's / 70's get nailed????? Probably not many and bet there were more of them at it given the nature of the job. |

Re: Stuart Hall
I thought this was interesting,
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ukne...uart-Hall.html especially the reply in the comments part from ianbb. "It's worth mentioning again that this has all the indications of a "plea bargain". He has issued a blanket admission of guilt, and apology, in return for (the hope of?) leniency. He is an old man. If he goes to prison he will die there. Anyone in that position is likely to do anything to avoid prison if he can. Hence, admitting guilt is a rational strategy. But that meant pleading guilty to everything, which meant throwing away the chance to challenge any of the claims. If he did have sex with one girl, grope another- none of which would have elicited the modern hysterical response, back in the swinging 70s- he had no choice since he would undoubtedly face a severe punishment if he took any of these claims to trial. So, it was all or nothing. The result is, we can never know the truth of this matter- and indeed, the truth is lost anyway, buried under decades of time and the notoriously fallible human memory." |
