Re: Stampede! YEE-HAAAAAA!!!!
Just thought I'd start a thread about the Calgary Stampede!
http://cs.calgarystampede.com/
Parade is tomorrow through downtown. There's a large model cowboy atop the train outside where I work at Gulf Canada Square, and the bleachers are up for the parade tomorrow.
All you new folks look out for the Stampede breakfasts .... there's probably one near you! Food is free but be prepared to line up! (I believe some places are putting collection boxes for donations though)

Well as I unexpectedly had the day off I volunteered to sell programmes for the Grandstand Rodeo this afternoon.
Oh my head hurts after 3 hours standing in the sun and then two pints of beer for lunch! I got to see some Canadian horse-play though!
Talked to quite a few brits (and sold them programmes!) and it was quite funny chatting to English visitors to our great city and telling them to have a wonderful day!

Yep Rodeo on Tuesday and Chucks on Wednesday. I have bought them hats and also my friend's daughter (19) is interested in a group appearing on the Coca Cola Stage. Puddle of Mudd or something like that - I have never heard of them but she is really excited to get a free concert!!

He'd be mortified, it must be said - but no Stampede duties for him this year - actually, come to think of it - maybe he volunteered for anything but Stampede overtime just so he didn't have to wear the hat
Did you see yours on tv minihaha?

I'm afraid I would take the p*ss wickedly if my hubby had to wear one.
