Spare a thought for these families.

Now I know not all of us like Police Officers but I ask you to put your bias to this job aside for a moment and spare a thought for these families who now have to deal with the aftermath of this senseless tragic event.

What is it with the incidence of grenades being used? I have seen a number of reports of such incidents in the past.

To be honest it shouldn't matter if one likes Police Officers in general as absolutely nobody deserves to be viciously and deliberately harmed or even killed doing their job. These Ofiicers put their lifes at risk to keep others safe. I feel for their families. And why doesn't it surprise me that all of this happened in Manchester? God I am so glad that we moved away from there.

Makes me wonder how no one knew were this one eyed monster was hanging out, and if they did, why no one grassed him out. Even anonymously...:(

such a sad incident, again raises the question if you do something inhumane why do you still get 'human' rights?
i suppose it boils down to people playing god and where does it end.

so frustrating tho that the man who pulled the trigger will have his life and routine set out for him, no bills to pay, choice of meals to eat, bed, x box and time in the gym. somethings defo out of kilter

Yeah - because it doesn't happen anywhere else, right.

Spot on. This incident was linked to another couple of murders a little while back where grenades were used.

Both previous victims were small-time nutjobs who, to be honest, probably needed taking out of the gene pool - but the perpetrator seems to have decided to go out in some sort of blaze of glory. Quite how that involves killing two unarmed women coppers then handing yourself in at the local nick remains to be seen, but what an idiot. I'm guessing he'll be having an uncomfortable night in the cells.

I agree with the first line of Nina's post. FL that's a little crass even for you to start off with "Now I know not all of us like police officers......".

FFS no-one likes police officers when they abuse their power, the same way as no-one likes fat cat company execs who get large payoffs when they've bled the working man dry - but to thnk for one minute that anyone would wish any of them dead is a bit - a lot - off.

I didn't say it doesn't or couldn't happen anywhere else just that it doesn't surprise me that it did happen in Manchester. Don't get me wrong I loved the city and the humour. And I still have lovely friends and family there but unless you can afford to live in i.e.Didsbury or Sale/Trafford then you see a lot of workshy scum and it just got worse over the past few years.

Excuse me how is that being crass and are you assuming that I actually thought that any poster on BE regardless of their thoughts on the Police would wish them dead. Oh dear you really ought to read the words again.
Wow Im so glad you can read my thoughts over a computer screen and interpret those words to mean that. Out of 206 views there appears to be only 2 of you who think that as nobody else seems to have thought I meant that or maybe they do but chose not to comment on it.
Putting a bias aside is not wishing someone dead as we all know there are some who particulary dont like the Police and Im sure even those who hate them would not wish this on them.
Rest assured there will be some hardened convicts waiting to meet this killer and politely pointing out to him killing an unarmed copper and especially a female is a big No No.
