The Liverpool-jfk route has now been reduced, not because of poor demand but JFK were fuming with the complaints they had to deal with concering delays and shoddy service. Maybe not their fault, but their image is becoming tarnished. Globespan were kicked out of Toronto international again because of so many complaints and delay after delay, and this also reported on numerous forums. Maybe on eof the main reasons why Hamilton was chosen.

Without trying to slag off globespan, I have given the airline the benefit of my doubt but the airline has failed to deliver.

YES our outward journey was fantastic, first class all the way!!!!!

on the way back, it was a nightmare, 26hr delay, put up in a hotel in hamilton, the hotel was fab, first class, but there token was $20 each for evening meals and $10 each breakfast.

When a cup of coffee was $4 each :mad:

Hotel rang us and said the suttle was downstairs :curse: 5 min warning with 3 kids and when we got to the airport another 3 hr delay :curse:

Everyone got treat the same on plane, infact the economy had more room than us, to say i wont be flying globelspan again is an under statement, i thought they was great, but HEY when they mess up they REALLY mess up

If you search around on forums like airliners.net and cabincrew.com the whole back-story is on there - basically, they tried to be clever by leasing a 767 of theirs a few months before their Canadian ops went live, and then couldn't sub-lease enough aircraft to cover their requirements in the early months. (Apparently, some Florida flyers were stuck on a 737 and made to refuel in Maine!). On the Canada routes, they leased old Icelandair planes - one of which had engine trouble and had to turn back twice inside a couple of weeks in May/June - and a notorious Italian charter "wet-lease" with what sound to me like very ill-prepared and indifferent crew).

Apparently they improved their puncuality a lot, but their customer services office is notoriously bad at responding to anything (from the threads I was watching on forums as our flights loomed, and after I got back).

In my experience, I'd much rather go for Thomas Cook for the legroom (but MyTravel if I want decent in-flight entertainment - so ideally out with MYT, and back with TCX! ;) - even though YYZ is more of a hassle for transfers, it's still faster overall because all London departures with Globespan pick up at another UK airport before heading to Canada...

Personally, I'd not fly with them again unless the price was a *lot* cheaper than Canadian Affair. The extra stop to and from London is a real pain, too - especially if you have kids in tow (we had an 8 month-old!)
