Some GOOD news!

Just got back from checking the mail:

1. #1 Son got his chemistry high school diploma exam results today ... 93%! which brings his overall average mark to .... 93%!! {glows with motherly pride) :D :D

These results will be sent off to uni's of Calgary and BC, and hopefully he'll be offered a place!

2. I have been granted a stay of execution which means I can continue to practise physiotherapy under mentorship until I re-sit the exam in November. A GREAT weight off my mind! I was so worried I'd have to stop working. :scared:

Sorry guys .... just had to tell somebody

That is good news indeed.

I wish ours had been that good. My stepson (16) is in the "enriched" (ie nerd) class at school. This year the Quebec govt made the maths exam so hard that a very high number of pupils failed outright (like about two thirds). This is a very important year for him, as far as grades for uni are concerned. Thus, he, like an awful lot of other pissed-off Quebec kids, is in summer school in preparation for the re-take in August. He's not a happy bunny, particularly as he had to give up his summer job at a resort full of young tottie (he's a chick magnet). Fortunately he recognises the importance of these grades, so we're not getting grief from him.

Didn't know about your "deferred success until I read one of your threads on another site - I'm sure you'll get there in due course.

Will send karma (if the powers that be allow me) :D

Thanks guys..... I guess I had more than my fair share of "cheering up" karma the other week!

I DO like the term "deferred success" I think I'll keep that one for such circumstances (hope not to need it!!)

Rollercoasters, aye ...... but that's always been the way with me. When I'm up, I'm UP .... but when I'm down I'm in deep do-do .... It all adds to the glorious uncertainty of life! :D
