It looks like his funeral is still a ways off.

London's Southwark Cathedral can accommodate up to 1,500 people
Funeral is likely to be in two to three weeks given the criminal investigation

Shouldn't it be "that's", if that's what you think?

It's not a very good picture, is it? It looks to me like one the Globe or World Weekly News uses in stories about images of Jesus being found in pancakes or statues of Elvis being found on the moon. Have you got one showing his kirpan?

For what it's worth, it's actually a quote from that bloke who deleted his post and flounced off. So now the post makes no real sense.

What with your avatar and your strident views on here, I would suggest that you are doing exactly what this soldier's Brigadier has requested you do not do... "exploit his death for self-serving and unhelpful reasons."

You're taking delight in the "ammunition" this murder has given you to vent your right-wing views. You feel it has validated your opinions on a previous Labour government's immigration policies, as you have made clear. You, Sir, are as guilty of debasing that soldier's memory as any terrorist.

To the likes of me and you it's inconclusive, but we don't have the benefit of matey-boy's military background. They can just tell, it's instinctive, like a sixth sense.

Spin it how you like...

That post was along the lines of...give it a few minutes and someone will be along to post just as you did.

You made the comment.

Why, I could hazard a guess.

Indeed. He and a handful of others seem positively pleased that this has happened, in tone. Bizarre and distasteful reaction really.

What's to spin? I just quoted his own quote back at him and he got all precious and flounced.

The family of Lee Rigby, the soldier murdered in the street in Woolwich, south-east London, last week, has said he would not have wanted his death to be used to justify retaliatory attacks.

...In the statement from his mother and stepfather Lyn and Ian, wife Rebecca and son Jack, among others, they said the soldier "had many friends from different walks of life – some with different religious beliefs and cultures. But this made no difference to Lee – he always treated others with the greatest of respect."

Yes.

And, from the same source:

"Rigby's regiment echoed the sentiments of the dead soldier's family, distancing itself from "any organisations which seek to exploit the death of one of our regimental family for a range of self-serving and unhelpful reasons. It is wrong and disgraceful that the death of one of our own should be exploited in this manner and that dishonour, by wrongful association, is brought onto the regiment." "
