The Cricket & Curling Club has a new social cricket membership, but it's still pushing $3k a year, and I don't honestly think I can justify that.

Anyone know of any social cricket of any sort, ideally a brits & beer type of thing?

I think you're paying for 'club life" aren't you?

Last year we had an informal social cricket club on Jericho Beach. I have a full Kwik Cricket style set, although I use a tape ball unless there are kids that play with us.

For sure, it's one of the more exclusive members clubs in Toronto- full membership is $20k and up.

Even if it was convenient, I don't really want that! Happy to sip my pint of x and complain about the kids these days

You should join us. All Brits except for WAGs. Just have to make sure you have a designated driver, a sippy cup or one of those beer can wraps, oh and the game is tide dependant.

Wow...you can get paid $3K a year to watch cricket. I'd hold out for more. Time is money etc.

Just checked the cab fare on Uber... makes full membership look cheap.
