Snow in Atlantic Canada

Well this is our fourth winter snow storm in the last seven days. I thought the Atlantic Members could entertain the rest of your folks showing some winter storm images.

Our house before digging started.

Kathryn dug out to the bird table to help the poor little cheepers survive.

I will have some video uploaded and with edit this post to add in the link

omg  How tall is Kathryn?

We've got about 1/8 inch dusting here on the grass, none on the path or drive - it didn't lie.

Kathryn is just about 1.7 metres or 5'4" in old money. The bird table has a flat roof that should help gauge some of the depth too.

And that's why we moved from Fredericton

Tuppence you must be Joking Moncton always seems to get a pile of snow does it blow right over you?
.
I have to admit to going out snowblower purchasing this afternoon. The forecast is for this winter to continue in this fashion. Apparently La Nina Year effect (feminine side of El Nino causes more snow in Canada and specifically the Maritimes)

This is a thread I can't let pass by without posting a pic or two.....;)

Friday was pretty much a blizzard all day. Saturday dawned bright, sunny but windy. The view from the bedroom was of snow sculpted by the wind.......

So I sent the Mrs out with the snowblower!

(Actually I do most of it.)

Four storms in a week has left snow levels nearer to those we would expect in February not December. Unless a sizable thaw sets in over the next month we are going to have quite a depth Feb/March when it really gets snowy here.

We're in the midst of storm number 4 now. Here's the view live from downtown St Johns.... http://www.stjohns.ca/access/trafficcams/gower.jsp

Oh, no I know Moncton is worse. We are just north of Halifax, so get snow with rain and ice pellets on top! Bad, but less quantity!!
