Smashing Weiwei's vase

Although I am no proponent of destroying art, it is hard to fault the Miami artist's logic in smashing one of Weiwei's coloured vases...

Absolutely.

Nevertheless, the local artist's performance is so closely integrated with that of the original artist that there is a satisfying artistic symmetry produced. I hope he gets off lightly, indeed, maybe even given his own exhibition now that he has sparked some notoriety.

A hundred grand for some shit in beans can?? Seriously who are these nut jobs who buys this shit (sorry for the pun)!!?? It's unbelievable..

The piece received media coverage due to a lawsuit in the mid-1990s, when an art museum in Randers, Denmark was accused by art collector John Hunov of causing leakage of a can which had been on display at the museum in 1994. Allegedly, the museum had stored the can at irresponsibly warm temperatures. The lawsuit ended with the museum paying a DKK 250,000 settlement to the collector .. I have heard it all now!

I wonder how much I would get if I pissed in a coke bottle!
