Follow this guide to the T and you will be up and running in minutes. Exodus is one of the best sources for 'streams'.

smart tv are not actually that much smart, we cant connect keyboard or mouse directly to smart tv(LG owns such smart tv).
The Android Tv shows that much 'smartness' so that we can customize the usage.

If it was really smart it would pick up thoughts

Imagine just thinking what you want to watch and there it is.

I haven't read the whole thread, but I had this same dilemma a couple months ago. Ended up getting a dunce TV with Chromecast to plug in. Could get all same features for TV in our price range through Chromecast with added ability to stream direct from laptop, other devices etc. Biggest problem with that is our Rogers Swiss cheese router is utter **** so sometimes is difficult to get a non jumpy stream (we live in a condo unit so amount of wifi around probably doesn't help)

So as most TV's come with some sort of integrated connectivity, the question so, what brands have the best operating system?

When I have to I used children to operate mine. They are expensive to run though.

TV don't have an operating system they are TVs. Just get one with at least 2 HDMI, a PC input and AV inputs plus sound AV out sockets

Of course they do. How do you think you can use apps and connect to wifi? I'm looking at a Samsung with Tizen-based operating system, with 4x HDMI 2.0, Ethernet, optical audio. HDR+ upscaling etc. Need it before Christmas.

This weekend would be a good time to buy, lots of Black Friday deals at the moment.

I'll be looking or I'll order it down south and get a colleague to bring it up. My guess it'll be even cheaper there. Just have to decide what size.
