The ministry approved a 2 month rental for a machine.

Full Face CPAP nasal make with head gear-350.00
6 feet tubing 15.00
2 month rental 300.00

665.00 total.

The government sure does things the hard way. It will be re-evaluated at the end of the 2 months.

Could you afford this if you were back in the States? Canada might be a boring moose shagging and maple syrup swilling shithole but at least they try help their citizens with their health.

Don't forget the ear plugs. I've heard those things are loud.

No idea, suppose it would depend on how good the insurance was... But at current level, based on current income, based on the price we were quoted, it would not have been an easy purchase and would have required significant time to save.

Excellent point.

My wife's original one was replaced with a newer one with a couple more bells and whistles.

With both I often put my head close to the machine because I couldn't hear if it was on. That quiet.

If the mask isn't on properly (or not a good fit) then you hear it.

The machine is virtually silent. My table fan is louder. Only time I could hear anything was when she took off the mask before turning the machine off.

Apparently the machines one would get if getting a permanent one are even quieter then the rental trial machines, but this one is certainly whisper quiet.

That's brilliant news.. hopefully it will have a good impact on both your lives - getting more quality rest/sleep is going to do you both good.
