English place names are just as odd. I lived close to Wyre Piddle, Upton Snodsbury and Pink Green. No doubt they sound strange to Canadian ears.

When we first moved to Canada I called it Missiwhatsit, my parents live not to far from Condom in France.
We spotted this road sign two years ago.
