Default Sirius drops BBC Radio 1

Well, now I'm in a very bad mood, as my morning commute was ruined by a lack of Radio 1.
It's gone, no idea why, and they are banging on about how you can listen to that type of music on some of their other channels.

Well, frankly Sirius, I don't give a flying ^*&%$##@#@ about the music. I would like my Moyles, my Coxy, and my Scott Mills back.

Bastards.
Cancellation of subscription happening as soon as they open the switchboard..

Agreed - no warning ... I would have downloaded the podcast. I will not renew my subscription either..... the only reason I had the service at all was for the morning show...Send them a note on feedback....maybe if enough people complain?....meh....maybe not....

Pretty depressing day.... rain....market meltdown.....London in flames ....and now this.....what a load of c*ck!:curse:

I found it had gone too!
Does anyone know if this is for good? BBC R1 is the only reason we subscribe to sirius!

Any other ways to listen in the car?

Angry Re: Sirius drops BBC Radio 1

NOT a good day - The first thing I done when I got to work was email Sirius - No warning, No Explanation I too only listen to Radio 1, if anyone knows of another way to get Radio 1 (time-shifted would be a huge bonus) in the car, I would appreciate it.

Email sent to radio one sirius. Not a happy subscriber. I feel a radio riot brewing.

You can download the podcasts automatically and play them on a memory stick (I have a usb in my car) or on an ipod... I put the link up but got some moderated message...

Just checked the radios here in the office. Yup, gone. I didn't hear anything about it being dropped either. Let me go ask around, see if I can find out why.

I signed up for the discussion group just to respond (which I never do). My expat husband called me on his way to work to say the Radio One was gone, we too have or should I say had (I already cancelled) Sirus for Radio 1. What really makes me mad is they didn't even say why. Now they can have more lame stations that play the same type of music over and over again. Now since the local rock station in Chicago Q101 has been canned too...I guess it is time to bring out the Ipod in the car.

About the pod casts are they the whole shows with music and all, or just highlights?

I bought a new car the other day - it comes ready for XM.

Wrongly, I thought XM and Sirius had already merged (they have in the US only) and I would be able to swap my Sirius subscription for XM. Nope - and even when they do fully merge in Canada they will still run as separate entitities.

So I cancelled my Sirius subscription and will get a partial refund. And I signed up for XM on Sunday - for my Radio 1 fix.

Sounds like it was just in time. Unless I get in my car this morning and Radio 1 has disappeared. That would be just too much!
