SIM card for a visitor?
We're visiting Canada (Vancouver/Vancouver Island/Yukon) for 3 weeks from Oz and we'd like to know if we can buy a SIM to use while there, mostly data but a few voice calls to confirm accom etc. What's the best option?

Re: SIM card for a visitor?
What DandNHill said is correct...phones will need to be unlocked. You're in for a shock as Canadian cell service is very expensive compared to other countries, but the best deal IMO on a prepaid SIM is Koodo. Unlimited texting to CAN/US/INT'l numbers for $15/mo, then you can add booster add ons for data and talking minutes
More details here: https://www.koodomobile.com/prepaid-...p_PrepaidPlans As far as I know there is no official way to get the SIM internationally however I did find one on eBay, https://www.ebay.ca/itm/New-Koodo-Re...kAAOSw3ZtaJttr or alternatively shoot me a PM, i'm happy to purchase and mail it to you. Or you can pop into a Koodo shop when you arrive and grab them if you don't need to have them before you go. You can also get US add-ons on these SIMs. |

7-11 has a relatively okay prepaid package. https://www.speakout7eleven.ca/plans
