Should Guinness be banned in BC?
Well according to the Irish the Railton Cafe in Vancouver either need to learn how to pour a pint of the black nectar or stop selling it as they are butchering it and then even posting pictures of their poured pint of Guinness.
But it doesn't end here the offending picture found in the link was actually a pint of Guinness poured from a CAN FFS how is this establishment allowed to serve alcohol. How a Vancouver pub 'annoyed an entire country' with a poorly poured pint of Guinness - Home | As It Happens | CBC Radio So those from BC who might be touring the Emerald Isle in the near future don't tell them that you drink Guinness in Vancouver  |

What are those things in the pot?

Re: Should Guinness be banned in BC?
After tasting Guinness in Dublin and realizing how much smoother and nicer it is. I would never drink a Guinness here...
That photo is awful. I laughed at the comment made by the guy on how the pint 'looks like it has already drank 16 pints of the stuff' |
Re: Should Guinness be banned in BC?
Making me thirsty!
Original photo is terrible, but I suppose whoever staged it, just didn't know. I sometimes get the can variety at home and they come out very well. |

It doesn't look altogether wholesome does it?
Given that we are in Canada, I'm going for fried Mars Bars....very keen on a healthy snack here  Do you think they need to employ someone in their marketing department? |
Re: Should Guinness be banned in BC?
The link from that story shows the right way to pour it. I was always taught that it's a 3 stage pour, never less.

And on top of all that I always thought that Murphys was the better pint anyway.

I made that up about the balls, but it could be true.

That was a woman's pint of Guinness for St. Patricia's Day...
The second-attempt photo has a dodgy looking head on it as well.... |
Re: Should Guinness be banned in BC?

Guinness used to be hugely variable in London, until Guinness themselves realised there was a problem and sent a training team round teaching everyone how to pour guinness. That needs to happen here, but I don't really drink the stuff regularly to care properly. |
