Shameless self promotion...

For those in my area who are really really bored:

Hastings Trinity United church is presenting the 'Stirling Citizen's Band' on Saturday June 4, 2011 at 7:30 pm.
Exceptional variety of music .
Free will offering
Refreshments, in the basement, to follow.

(I worry about the "freewill" offering of slightly over ripe fruit and veg in a direct manner to the band)

For those who prefer their free music rather more professionally delivered I will also be playing at the grand opening of the new (overexpensive) pavilion at Zwicks Park in Belleville on June 12th. I will be comfortably the least able musician there I suspect, but safe in the company of far more talented people. There will be all sorts of other stuff going on as well as the big band at that event, so that should be a good day for all.

:frown::rofl:

Anyone that has heard me just knows instinctively that I am not likely to be paid for my services.

Some of the others in the big band however make a decent living as musicians.

:confused:

I thought the definition of "perfect pitch" was when you throw a banjo as far as you can, and happen to hit a passing bag piper?

We are on at 2 (ish), accompanying Julian Gallo and Lenni Stewart's short set, and then with a longer set of our own stuff (Well, Duke Ellington, Count Bassie, Glen Miller and er...Aretha Franklins stuff, among others, but you know what I mean....)

Im sure some of the head nodding wasnt just Parkinsons:p At least they had been allowed a day pass from the seniors home. That makes a refreshing change to playing in the other band at the retirement homes:eek:

The guy on the mobility scooter with the full nascar decals and matching jacket was an added bonus!:blink:
