Selling a Car which isn't worth much???

Hello (again) peeps....

I have a super duper car to sell, although it won't be on the wish list of anyone looking really.

It's teeny tiny (bout the size of the old mini), and has a few artistic dents in it, but has MOT and TAX until November 2008.....

I've not had experience of selling cars really, and owing to the size of hte car, can't really imagine much demand for it.

If however, anyone knows of a good place to sell cars whcih aren't desireable, and although have been 100% relaible and amazingly economical, please can you suggest where to put it for sale?

Failing that - is there anyone on here that may have interest in it???? If I was staying I wouldn't sell it, and I love it.....

thanks
Bx

Don't be shy, tell us what it is, what year, mileage etc.!

Local paper or ebay usually works for us.

I was going to donate my old mondeo with the faulty starter to my brother's fire station for wrecking! (I mean practising rescues etc)

But he suggested a For Sale poster in the window, so I stuck it up for 500 pounds or best offer. I could have sold it twice in the first week, (somebody tried to buy it a a gas station, but I needed it to get home!) .... but finally it went included in my house sale!

I ended up selling mine to the local back-street garage; the owner bought and sold old cars as a sideline, and probably made a few hundred quid selling it on. Of course I'd advertised it in the local paper the week before and after getting no interest suddenly I had three phone calls that afternoon after I sold it!

However, I needed it for moving stuff until about a week before I emigrated, if I'd been able to live without it for a few weeks I'm sure I'd have got more money.

We needed one of ours right up until the last minute so we dropped it off at an auction place on the way to Glasgow Airport  The other one we left with my brother, he was worse than useless and despite promises of putting it in the paper and so on, it ended up just going to an auction too. Remember and leave the <can't remember what it's called, for ownership> document with the auctioneers if you go that route.

If it's taxed and Mot'd bandit, then it's already worth a few hundred quid - and if you think you can get a bit more, then go for it. Even simple postcards on the boards in the supermarkets or a quick advert in the Surrey Ad will get shot of it quickly, I am sure ...

to be honest, if its economical and reliable, its probably going to sell easier than a lot of other cars with the price of fuel as it is right now. Put it in the local friday-ad or something, or failing that, ebay it.
