Save on Foods-Tesco
Save on foods (Overwaite) now have a section selling "Tesco British Favourites"
its all Tesco own label stuff but some good items. I went in for my weekly shop and tripled my bill, my new fave is Tesco gravy granules so easy, easier than bisto, also proper English lemonade (a la R Whites), I had a couple of pints of Shandy tonight, way better than sprite or 7 up, also bought some Sweet Curry sauce and had Sausage, Chips and curry sauce. Think they are trying to compete with Walmart's English section, or maybe Tesco is planning to expand beyond the UK. Might keep an eye on SOF and Tesco's share price.

And your grocery bill It tripled and as you know imported foods aint cheap but is worth it to some. Give it a few more years and the sight of a packet of chocolate covered digestives or curry sauce will lose their appeal.

Well I have been in Canada for 25 years , I am an OAP. I am single and live by myself so tripling my grocery bill is not difficult. Pardon me for trying to enhance my quality of life.

Yes Save On is doing this near us in NorthVan.
Tescos C&O crisps (which I probably wouldn't look twice at in the UK) were on offer reduced from $10 for a six pack to $3. So we bought a few (and went back from more). The BB date was coming up.

I brought loads back for mini pup when I scooted back for a quick visit but have to admit I pinched the odd pack. I should have brought some Hulahoops as well. The plain ones, not the barbecue beef ones.
Snoop got Bertie Bassetts Allsorts and choccy that got nabbed by Minipup

Whenever any of us go back to the UK (not often) we cram the suitcases full of crisps and chocolate (and a few other things from Tesco) to bring back.

I recently brought back two hundred quids worth of chocolate, mostly Giant Buttons, in my suitcase. My computer was also in the suitcase, it gave up its place in the carry on to the fragile bags of pickled onion Monster Munch.
