Romantic Valentine's dinner!

Hi guys!

For Valentine's Day this year I'm planning on making a romantic Valentine's dinner for my lovely boyfriend! I'm a little unsure about what to make for the main course, I've searched lots of recipes but I can't make up my mind! I have a great recipe that he adores, but I made that for his birthday last month...what are your favourite recipes and do you have any traditional Valentine's meals that you just love to make?

Is that what you're going to prepare for her or what she's going to prepare for you?

Next question. Knowing full well what's in it, is the recipient going to consume it?

:p

:p

She and I would consume it by mutual consent rather than endure a celebration of valentines' day.

I mean, come on.

Steak au poivre with scalloped potatoes and asparagus

For dessert: Pot de Crème, which is creamy, intense chocolate goodness and easy to make!

Another delicious dessert: puff pastry, filled with whipped cream and strawberries drizzled with a strawberry sauce.

If you would like any of these recipes, feel free to message me:)

Not at all. Two very distinct minds. But after nearly four decades of jointly avoiding commercialized crap like valentines day, we agree on a few things.

Wooing with Food: Rule Number One --> Don't make anything that causes flatulence... romance is what should be in the air.

In that case, skip the food and go straight to the drink:)

Again, I'm forced to press the advantages of pig's testicles in this regard. Flatulence is practically unheard of.

For the deadly, add the hemlock. Or a valentines dinner.

I had to google that. I must be getting out of touch.

But the tinned rattatouille would probably go down better with Canadian Heinz baked beans, tinned ravioli and marmite, don't you think?

Oh. And hemlock.

It's too early and has been too stressful already this morning to be witty so, I'll stick seriously to the question. (home made) Beef Wellington is our traditional Valentine dinner and yep, I will be doing it tomorrow. I only make it on Valentines and Hubby's B'day (if we're not going out), so it's a bit more special, it's fairly easy but a little time consuming. Don't know yet what pud I'm doing.....maybe Novo's suggestion:eek:
