Rio Ferdinand - seems like he'd be a decent enough bloke to go for a pint with.

Doesn't seem at all as 'up himself' as say, Ashley Cole or heaven help us, David Beckham.

That BBC show would have a field day with Carragher and Gerrards mannerisms....incomprehensible ramblings and picking at their ears respectively.

Ferdinand was, in my mind, fairly childish until a couple of years ago (that 'pranked' show he did before the WC in 2006 was inane), but he seems to have matured since then.

I'd prefer him to Terry as captain for England.

Of course, I am a Man U fan, but notice I'm not clamouring for the return of Gary 'I speak in the 3rd person' Neville for England and I'd be happy if he was no longer the Man U captain.
