Reverse homesickness
My daughter wanted to return to UK after
A year in Canada we came back but now I feel very depressed as I loved it ? Has anyone thought it best to go back again and leave grown up daughter behind or does this cause even more heartache down the line?

Re: Reverse homesickness
Do you mean leave daughter in UK and return to Canada? Should put a bit more info to describe your situation, but the short answer is, there is no one answer. One poster on here has done just that, hopefully she will be along to share some thoughts.

Re: Reverse homesickness
If you're not dependent on each other (e.g. if you don't have to support each other financially, for health reasons, care of grandchildren etc.) then what's holding you back from doing what you want to do?
I'm sure many will say that "we raise kids such that they learn how to be independent, confident in their abilities and able to succeed on their own".
Could "heartache down the line" be reduced by visits?

Re: Reverse homesickness
Would it be feasible to identify the things you liked about living Canada and replicate them in the UK?
