On the other hand, the driver probably realised that the loss would soon be noticed and be fairly easy to trace. That's just the cynic in me. |

They are nice, and a reminder that decent people are more common than one might think.

Re: Restoring my faith in humanity
while on hols a year ago in Spain, i took my wedding and engagement rings off next to a lake to put cream on my hands and left it there. after realising hours later that it was gone and searching everywhere for it without success, i gave up hope.
mr fluff however insisted that we check at the bar next to the lake the following morning, and to my utter amazement the bar guy collected some wedding bands that were not mine, and then asked: "are these yours?" I nearly fainted! I never expected to see my rings again.apparently a boy saw it at the lake and gave it to his parents. bless their kind hearts  we have also left our car keys dangling in the front door a few times, and always have someone ring our bell to tell us. they could have easily stolen the car! we always try to remember to be more careful now, but thankfully there are many good people around. |
Re: Restoring my faith in humanity
Ive had my wallet returned to me twice (intact) here.
We can all try and do the right thing more often. |

Not meaning to pee on your parade, but do you think the intelligent, medical student cabbie, may have realised she was walking around with thousands of dollars and was Itallian and may indeed have noted the address that her dropped her off at and then considered his own personal safety, had he not have returned the money?????????????????
Sorry, but I work with poor students every day. So, I'm just throwing that thought out there:rofl: A cynical Mrs M xx:thumbsup: |

Re: Restoring my faith in humanity
mmmmmm, I'm thinking sleeping with the fishes:eek:
Only messing Iaink, with the exception of a few, I think it's good to believe in mankind. As a secular humanist, that's just about all I have left. Peace out, Mrs M x |
